Short Bio

Kristina Bozurska is born in 1984 in Kumanovo.  Graduated in 2008 at the painting department on the Faculty of Fine arts, Skopje and in 2017 got her MA at the Institute of Cultural Studies, Skopje with a main focus on social art practice. She utilizes a multitude of techniques and materials, including ready-made objects, painting, drawing, text or video. Socio-political observation is the core of her practice, highlighting problems and glitches of everyday life through the selection of materials and visual references. She have had solo exhibitions in Bjarred, Sweden; Skopje , Kumanovo, and Berlin  and have participated in number of group exhibitions and video art festivals in the country and abroad. Accomplished a residential stay in ISCP New York and have taken part in Arte Utile course led by Tania Bruguera at the Salzburg Summer Art Academy in 2013. Has won few  awards: The best video in category “Nano Minute” of the International video festival in Brazil(2008); (YVAA)”Denes”, award for a young artist for 2010. Currently, she teaches art in the Quality International School of Skopje.
